Design is constantly evolving and there are always new solutions. Design is an exciting field to be in. She  opened Hudson Avenue Interiors in 2010 in Knoxville Tennessee to be able to continue her adventures in design.

As a native Knoxvillian who began her design studies in 1980 at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, she enjoys the valley’s deep rooted traditions like Tennessee Football and hiking in the Smoky Mountains. She received her degree in Interior Design from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte NC in 1986 where she lived for 20 years.

After graduation, she opened a studio for interior design and enjoyed designing and raising her son James. In addition to her design studio, in 1993 she opened Body Essentials in Charlotte, a retail store specializing in bath and body products designed to tantalize the senses and by 1999 she had 3 locations.

Carol returned to Knoxville in the fall of 2001 to reunite with her family and recapture the charm and essence of being truly home near the Tennessee Hills. After working here in the field of interior design for 4 yrs at Wolfgang Interiors and 2 yrs at O P Jenkins Furniture she once again returned to the role of owner and interior designer at Hudson Avenue Interiors.
